My tranny shifts kinda hard??

I have the 700r4 automatic in there and when i shift from P to overdrive the car jumps...if i shift from P to reverse it jumps...while driving it shifts really hard from first to second and third and forth arent that bad...just kinda jerks the car forward...what are some probably causes for this?

Mine did the same thing last year. I changed the fluid, filter and gasket and it's been fine ever since. Try that first. Clean the pan good and check for any metal shavings. A little dark sludge is normal from clutch wear. About 4-5 qts should refill it.

Check the idle if the RPM is too high it will do that, 800 is what its supposed to be. Also might wanna check that mount.
