Flexplate bolt pattern

I am about to put a TH400 in my 87 Z28 but I have a ? about what the bolt pattern on a th350 and th400 flexplate. I have both flexplates and I'm needing to know the bolt patterns so I can get a new stall converter. Thanks for the help

You need to use the one with the bolt pattern that fits whatever converter you get. Right now I can't tell which one that is.

the converter has a 10.75 bolt pattern

Make yourself a circular piece of cardboard or something with a piece of string, and measure your flex plates.

That sounds like the 350 pattern though.

Axle/Gears: Ford 9"/31 spline spool/4.86
You can use a TH350 converter in a TH400. Order the converter to fit whatever flexplate you have.

Another option is to buy an aftermarket flexplate with dual bolt patterns.
