Width of stock 10 bolt?

Tried a search and I read a bunch of articles about how much wider 4th gen axles are than 3rd gen axles. That would help if someone could just tell me how wide one of those axles actually are. I am going junkyard hoping and am looking for a 9" that will fit width wise or a little wider. Thanks for the help,
Tyler

A third gen diff is close to 63" wide, axle face to axle face. A fourth gen is 2" wider on each side.

Hmmm, do you happen to know the flange to flange dimension. I have collected a little data so far that may be usefull to others so I will post it;

All flange to flange
94 Ranger 8.8" 59"
79-81 lincoln versales 9" 59"
67-71 mustang 9" 59"
79-81 granada 9" 58.5"
67-70 F-100 9" 65.25"

Please feel free to add to the list or update the year these vehicles were in production. I will continue looking and let you all know what I find. I like the 9" because it is so easy to weld the Torque arm mount too. Thanks again,
Tyler

That should be everything you need to know about 9" diffs.
