WCt5 question. already searched..
I seen a Pic of a WCt5 side case. befor and cant find it again.
Something about how to tell a WCT5 from a Non.
Was a star nut or a square nut with some writing or something....
Any body give me a hand or tell me the diff. Besides this way..
Look at the front countergear bearing. It's on the surface of thetrans that mates to the bell housing, down low; it's round, about 2½" in diameter. It's visible with the trans fully installed in a car.
If it's shiny and flat with sort of rolled-ove-looking edges, looks just like an upside-down freeze plug, it's the 1st design. If it's a dull finish with sharp edges and a depression in the middle that makes it look like it has a slight ridge about 3/16" wide all the way around it, it's the 2nd design.
