I'm in the process of swapping my T-5 for a T-56. I removed the old master and slave clutch cylinder yesterday and had a lot of trouble taking them out. I had no room to slide the master cylinder out. I finally got it out when I disconnected the slave from the hydraulic hose. Now I'm trying to figure out how to install the new one in one piece. I loosened up the bolts on the brake booster to give me a little more room, but the booster doesn't move too easily. I'm sure my headers don't help in freeing up any space. How has everyone else installed their hydraulics? Did you push everything though the bottom?
thanks,
Chris

Remove the brake master cylinder and brake booster. It might seem llike a lot of work but its not really when you are trying to push the master cylinder through the firewall. Install the master clutch cylinder through the fire wall and run the line from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder on the drivers side of the steering column and under to the tranny.
Yes I have done it both ways in that I wish I had removed the brake master cylinder and booster the second time around like I did the forst time......but oh well....

Thanks Frobozz. Will I have to completely remove the brake master cylinder, including the lines, or will I be able to disconnect the the master cylinder from the brake booster and just push the master cylinder out of the way as i take out the brake booster?
I cant remember if I could push it out of the way or not, possibly yes if you had some help.......but if you are by yourself then just disconnect the brake lines........those studs on the booster are pretty long on both side (front and rear).......
