ATTN: RB38L69-pilot bearing Question
RB aka The ReBuilder
I found metal shavings when I stuck my finger inside the pilot bearing yesterday and removed what I could with my finger and a keyboard cleaner (compressed air). I have a new bearing, but I couldnt get the old bearing out using any tool I had available...a slide hammer or any other tool...other than renting a pilot bearing extractor, any trade secrets to get the pilot bearing out?

Well it's not exactly a secret, but...
Pack the space behind it full of grease, stick a trans clutch gear or a clutch alignment tool in it, and bonk it with a hammer. Keep adding more grease as it comes out.
