The mighty t-5

Ok guys... I'm going to drop the t-5... but before I can get it down, i have a few questions...first.. it's a BORG-WARNER T-5 in an '89 RS
1 > what is the best way to support it and lower it, do I need to support the engine once the tranny is angled down for removal ??
2 > there are 2 things connected into the passenger side of the tranny, the first is closer to the front with 2 round ports connected to eachother THAT ONE JUST DISCONNECTS , AND THE OTHER ??? closer to the tail shaft... it has a screw on [bracket] cover thing... It looks like a thin plastic wire.... WHAT IS IT, AND HOW DO I REMOVE IT ??, I feel like I'm going to break it when I pull slightly
3 > is there anything I need to know, or do specifically when removing the bell housing, and replacing the clutch
I've removed a few automatics with my dad before...BUT this is my first attempt at a manual and my first attempt BY MYSELF (well with help.. but being in charge)
Thank you guys SO much in advance:hail:

As long as you have the shifter out, the four bellhousing to trans bolts out, along with the torque arm bolts, exhaust support brackets, driveshaft and crossmember you can usually just get under the trans, give a little pull, and muscle it out, they are not that heavy maybe 85 lbs or so. All that should be connected to the trans otherwise are the reverse light sensor plug wires. (i think you already unhooked) and your speedo cable, (most likely the screw on thing you were refering to if it about the size around of a quarter) Just unscrew it gently with pliers or similar. .
It would not hurt to have a jack with a block of wood or something similar under the engine oil pan, just be careful not to damage it. If this car is in the stock configuration, usually the exhaust will pretty much keep the engine from tilting back to far or at all.
Good luck!
