rear swap: drums to disks

My friend has two Camaros, an 86 Iroc and 89 Iroc. There is a problem with the axles on the 89, so we want to swap the rears on the two. We will be able to figure out all the bolts and everything that need to be taken off, and we will disconnect the brake lines and connect them to the new rears, and bleed them and anything, but is there anything specific we might need to know before doing this? Will we need any special tools or anything? Neither of us have swapped a rear yet, and any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
-Jeff

There's a ton of messages about this on the suspension/chassis/brakes board if you do a search. Also, if the disks are on the '86, find out if he ever got the recall work done on the calipers. If not, search the suspension board for "rear disc recall", you should find a ton of messages; among them, my experience with an '84 3.73/posi/disc axle. No point in swapping to disc if the brakes won't work (because of not doing the recall work)!

Thanks Tom, I'll look into that. The brakes on the 86 work fine, so there shouldnt be a problem.
