tranny ?

Hey fellas, I got a question for you. I was out cruising today in the Roc with a friend of mine, and I take my foot off the gas cause we're rolling down a hill. I go to give it some gas to get up the next hill and nothing. The motor revved just fine, but the power didn't go to the rear wheels. WTF? Car will start, idle, and rev just fine, but whenever I go to put it in gear nothing happens. It's the stock 700-R4. Any words of advice?

id check fluid level and condition immediately, sounds like common sympton of 700r4 death, ive experienced a few of these myself

make sure fluiod has no smell other than of normal clean fluid and is bright red and not maroon or darker

also make sure cable is adjusted properly

Fluid was the first thing I checked. No burnt smell, just topped it off about a week ago.
