do i have a 9 bolt?

Alright i checked the RPO codes and i've concluded that i have 3.23s that came with the G92 package since it's an auto, but does that mean i have a 9 bolt? How do i find out if it's a 9 bolt or a 10 bolt without acutally physically looking at the rearend? Also did the G92 package come with a posi?

Probably should have this in a different location 3.23's are a 10 bolt ratio, so if you have 3.23's it's a 10 bolt.

Count the bolts on the cover, that tells you what you're dealin with. I have to agree with breathment. As for ratio, 2.77 3.27 3.45 3.70 are ratio's only found in 9 bolts. 2.73 3.23 3.42 3.73 are some of the 10 bolt ratio's. RPO will tell you specifically what it is. The search function on the top left corner of your screen will tell you everything you want to know about either rear. Seriously though, why did you repost when you have the same thread 5 lines down?????? I'm not trying to play moderator but come on guys?

I have the RPO code showing a 3.23 gear and the G92 RPO. I have a 9 bolt so my gear really is a 3.27. So I don't think you can really count on the gear ratio telling if it's a 10 or 9 bolt. I also agree just lay down and count the bolts... it'll take about a whole 30 seconds. The G92 package was for the posi traction (limited slip). The wheels will unlock and spin different rates round turns, but both SHOULD turn together if the passengerside happens to spin. Some people weld the spider gears together locking both tires together, but then you get a chirping going around corners then. Because the inside tire has far less of a distance to go than the outside tire. My posi traction works pretty good.
