700R4 rebuild

my car just hit 72,000 and the tranny is feeling weird these past couple of weeks i had the fluid flushed when it first started and it helped a little but not alot does this sound like it needs rebuilt or is there something else it could be the shift is only really really mushy from 1-2, and only at medium acceleration it is fine at WOT 2-3 and 3-4 it feels like it always has just wondering if there is something that could be bad that might fix this and if not how much is a good price for a rebuild

You could try installing a Corvette Servo kit. It stiffened up the shifts on my transmission for a few weeks until it finally died completely. I am installing a Pro-Built Street/Strip next week. They cost about the same as a stock rebuild around here.

Just a thought, but I experienced similar problems due to a stretched, out of adjustment TV cable. My tranny was also dying but adjusting the TV cable greatly helped things.
