ya its messed up, ok CLUNKS bad when i hit the pedal more than half way from a stop or fully when im moving, it grinds if i hit it hard from moving (like 35mph) it slips when it is cool outside (60 or below) the fluid on the stick is clear not red, also it smells burnt, what do yall think is wrong with it and do u think having the fluid changed would help it, it has 149960 miles on it and never had the fluid changed, btw incase needed its a 89 camaro rs with a 2.8 motor and a 700r4 trans

 

i guess no one knows the answer to this...i think it might be my torque converter, sounds like its spinning around???

 

The fact that it has 150,000 miles on it and never had the fluid changed doesn't sound too good. You could try replacing the fluid but at 150,000 miles, it might be time to just replace it or rebuild it.
