2.73 to 3.08 Gain ??
Will a gear change from 2.73 to 3.08 gears provide me a notable gain or is it a waist of time.... I'm trying to stay with these kind of low gears to keep my top speed.
Thanks

Not worth the effort IMO. I had 3.08's and they were not very good, compared to 3.73's anyway. How much top speed do you need? I can still get 150 with 3.73's.

I swapped my 2.73 drum brake rear end for a fourth gen 3.08 disc brake unit, didn't notice that much of a difference as far as accelleeration: there was a difference, but it wouldn't be worth your while to get 3.08 gears. The only reason I did is for the rear discs.

Not sure what kind of top speed you are looking for but I have 3.42 and I have gotten up to 145. If you race the at the track, you what 3.42 or 3.72. The 3.42 are a little more streetable.
