Sometimes my TCC feels like it does'nt unlock at a stop
Sometimes my TCC feels like it does'nt unlock at a stop. It intermittently stalls at lights also when this happens. Now my tranny is starting to slip between 2nd and 3rd. Of course it is a 700R4 tranny. Think it is time for a tranny rebuild?? I just swapped the fluid (yes it's at the right level) and also adjusted my TV Cable. Before I drop $1200.00 on a tranny rebuild, does anyone have any thoughts on this? Maybe I have a small animal like a possum nesting in my TCC.
Seriously, does anyone have any input on this?
Thanks,
Andy

I have been having the same problem. When I slow down quickly feels like the TCC isn't letting go and I if dont shift into neutral and give it gas , it will stall. I thought maybe it was my brake booster or IAC goin bad. I am still not sure if this my problem (not sure if TCC is letting go or not) but it sure sounds very similar. Does this sound like your problem? I think I am going to have the soleniod checked next.

Is lockup solenoid the same as a Transmission solenoid?
Such as ATC 520203 TRANSMISSION SOLENOID available here under transmission parts:

Mike,
Ya just saved me a grand I think!!!! :lala: :hail:
I brought it over to my local shop that does most of my work for me (no time for DIY stuff with new 4-month old 3rd Genner in the house) They swapped out the solenoid in an hour and the car drives like new!! This has been a nuisance problem for months now and thanks to your insight, problem is solved!! I just used the extra money to get a Hooker Super Competition exhaust system!! Thanks man!!!
BTW, for you north Atlantan's, I have had the best luck going to Goodyear at the corner of Rt.92 and Bell's Ferry!! I have been going there for 4-years now, and Arron has always taken care of whatever issue I have had.
Thanks again,
Andy
