Dakota dig. box or gears
Dakota dig. box or gears
I did a search and wound up confused. I have a 91 form 350 that the previous owner swapped in a Dana with 3.54 gears. The speedometer is off and the car is racking up more miles than it travels. Do I need the Dakota digital box or can I just change th speedo gears in the tranny. Any advantages to the Dakota box?
Can anyone tell me what I have to use for this application? Can I use Either. Or must I use the the dakota box? someone please save me the grief of doing it wrong the first time.

I went with the Dakota box. Changing gears in the tranny was not my idea of fun. With the box you can change tire size, rear ends ect.. and just flick a switch.
I take it that I can use either the the dakota box or change the gears in the tail of the trans?? Can the dakota box be adjusted to put on less miles than are actually driven? ( to make up for the amount that it was driven without the proper setup) The car only has 29K
