Which Tranny?

I have a 700r4 with a shift kit. It stalls to about 1300 rmps. I can get a powerglide (no idea on stall) and also a turbo 350 that stalls right at 2300.....

The car has major traction issues and is now track only..... I am wanting the best ETs.

Please help me choose

Keep the 700R4 and get a high stall torque converter. Have you had the car dyno'ed. You have pretty good setup. Find out what RPM your torque peaks out at and get a stall converter that is about 400-600 less than the peak RPM. When you get one request a STR(stall torque ratio) of around 1.8 - 2.0 if it is a strip car only. If you want to do a little light to light racing get an STR of 2.2 - 2.4.

Thanks but money is a BIG issue now. I can get the other 2 trannys for free. I dont mind the time to change them if it will help much. I think the 700r4 is giving me my traction problem. The deep 1st gear with 4.10s on 25.5 tall and 10" wide slicks is some serion mult. I am thinking about tucking some 26.5 x 14 slicks if I can find the rims

Thanks for the advice though!!!
