ok for one, when i manually shift it, 1/4 the time itll go from 1st to 2nd without me moving the shifter from 1st....odd huh.. anyways, ...with the car in drive, going fron 2nd to 3rd, is like...slipping i guess.....itll go ...rrRRRRRRrrrrrr then go into 3rd. ...call will be hesitant during that period then, fine. so...any ideas?

Shifting into second gear when the selector is still in low is not uncommon. The rest of the symptoms are not good. Is the fluid still in good shape?, is the transmission still shifting ok at normal throttle openings?, If the answers are yes, then a Corvette servo with boost valves might keep this alive for awhile.

I was having a similar problem. The corvette servo helped me for a few months. It didn't hold forever. I'm in the process or replacing the tranny.

it only starts to slip after the car is fully warmed up and has been driven for about an hour. thatll teach me to manually shift the car all the time..DOH heh...actually when i manually shift the car, its perfect, doesnt slip....only slips when its in drive and has been driven for an hour or so....i havent changed the tranny filter or fluid since i got the car a year ago....is there a tranny drain plug?? --assuming there is-- ....dont ask, i seriously know nothing abut tranys, its pathetic

There is not a drain plug. You must drop the transmission pan & replace the filters.

Add the Corvette servo & the boost valves while changing the oil, this will solve two problems at one time.
