This isn't right, is it?

Hey everyone, I just put my LT1 intake on and Holley 52MM TB and the tranny cable isn't the way I think its supposed to be. I already slid the little black box thing (sorry, I don't know what its called ) all the way back, but theres still some slack. Any other way to pull it tight? Here is as at closed throttle:

if it's like mine. I have a 92 camaro. look at where it connects the the bracket. now look just behind that you should see a half moon type shape there push it in and the cable should move in. if it doensn't you might want to push it in. now reinstall it to the trottle linkage. not take the linkage NOT the gas pedal and move it to WOT. you should hear the cable make a rachet type noise. this it done with the car off by the way. hope this helps.

I have heard that before to but the true way to do it is from the linkage. Thats how you get True WOT. Also thats what the helms Manual says. now if you pedal doesn't open it all the way you need to look at that.

when it is disconnected from the throttle body and you pull on the cable do you feel spring tension if not it may have come loose at the trans. just a thought

Ok, I fabricated another bracket to move the slider back, then did the adjustment there (where I pull it through, then connect it, go to WOT and hear it ratchet through to adjust its self) so I thought I would be good to go. Now, when I drive, it shifts weird. First gear revs all the way up to 5500 when I floor it, then shifts to second, second gets high, then when I hit third I have problems. When it reaches about 2000, it stops accelerating and the engine just revs. It keeps reving til I get to 3000-3200, then it shifts hard. What should I do now? I don't wanna drive to too much and mess it up. I think I might just take it to a trans place Monday and see if they can fix it.
