You need sockets, SAE and metric, deep well, a ratchet, u-joints, wire snips, and pliers. Shouldn't be too hard to throw those into a backpack. You also need some extensions, 10-12 inch, and some smaller ones like 3 and 6.

Edit: A long screwdriver.

From the inside of the car, cut the wires for the clutch switch, and you need the cruise control switch with the vacuum tubes and the t-junction. You should leave as much wire on it as you can when you cut the switches out.

1) Unbolt the pedal nuts on the interior and keep them, bag it or something.

2) in the engine bay, unbolt the clutch reservoir.

3) unbolt the clutch reservoir bracket and nuts, and keep them too.

4) unbolt the brake master cylinder, and pull away from the brake booster

5) pull out the brake booster completely (don't forget to disconnect the vacuum hose)

6) pull out the clutch master

7) track it down to the tranny and pull out the actuator from the tranny, and bag it (brake fluid and stuff).

8) go back in the car and look for the bolt under the dash that holds the brake pedals up, and unbolt it. Keep the bolt, just in case.

9) I do it this way, but you can just yank the pedals out if you like. What I do is take the pliers and remove the pedal switch clips from the pedal, allowing you to fully remove the switches (and the clips) from the pedal assembly. Bag it, make sure you have 4 switches...the neutral safety switch, the clutch cruise switch, the brake cruise switch, and the brake light switch. Then I yank the pedals out. It may take some time because the carpet padding can be stuck to the pedals from age.

Are you taking the tranny too? When you cut the wires, pay attention to where they go in the harness. You can wire them up the same way, if you don't have a service manual. The guides will tell you how to wire the neutral safety switch.

Edit: Oops, forgot to tell you to remove the clips from the pedals with the pliers before pulling the booster. Keep those clips, then slide the pushrods off the pedals, pry it off with the screwdriver.
