torque converter not working right. help!

i posted earlier about this problem but did not get the answer i was looking for. especially when the car is cold, going up hills the torque converter keeps kicking on and off. it seems likew the car is upshifting and downshifting but i think its the torque converter. i adjusted the cable on the throttle and it still does it. i have no idea what to do. is my torque converter shot? should i take it somewhere? if i keep driving my car will it ruin my tranny? please help me! im stumped...........

Are you sure that's a torque converter problem...?

Sounds like a slipping tranny to me. I'd know.

at a certain speed and throttle, you may get a jerk from the tcc engaging in od at a low speed, then the rpm drop enough, the trans downshifts, the tcc disengages, rpm goes up, shifts back to od, and it all begins again
