Break in period for fresh rebuild and Vig 2800

I dug through the archives but didnt find a ton of info on this.

I decided that i will be running Redline synthetic in my new trans and Vig combo. So I happily go to the local Redline dealer to shell out 100$ for fluid, well not real happy! So the guy behind the counter tells me I cant break in the trans on synthetic, so I leave to come back to the forums.

So question is: is this true? Do I need to break it in on standard stuff and then pay to have it properly flushed out and then fill with Redline?

Thanks all!

There is no breakin on transmissions, (maybe the first 20 miles). On torque converters no breakin at all, with synthetic or no-synthetic.
