T56 out and back in in under 2 hours.

well...after installing the tranny a few days ago, i decided that i didnt like some of the sounds that it made during installation. Since i am waiting for my new mini starter in the mail, last night i dropped the tranny again and inspected the pilot bearing and input shaft. it seems as if the input shaft tip is hitting the end of the crank. i wonder if it is cinched against the crank or if the crank will just spin by it. anyways i threw the clutch fork and pivot on (something i forgot to do the first time) and then reinstalled her. Took just about 2 hours start to finish. not bad for a nights work. started at 9 and was in bed asleep by midnight!

*** i cant wait for my starter!!! i almost want to push start her!!

120 bucks for a hi torque mini starter that fits both size flywheels and uses less draw than the stock starter. It will turn over a 15:1 BBC.

i got it from Motorsport Warehouse in NC, small ad in CHP. Free shipping. should be here tomorrow!!

its one of those hitachi converted starters.

in case anyone was interested the companys website is www.tommyjohnsonjr.com/bs
