Tranny Mount (Quick question-need answer)

Hey, I've searched but couldn't find the answer I needed. I know when the trans. mount goes on an automatic, it makes a loud bang under hard shifts, but what about a standard? I'm asking, bewcause after spinning the tires a little bit today whenever I shift into either first, second, or third, and give it a little gas, the shifter moves up and down a few times about 3-4 inches each time.

So what do you guys think? If it's just a tranny mount, I'll go get one from autozone and attempt to fix it myself. Oh, and yes, I know about the poly ones

Thank *** that's all it is! Wew...It was scaring me there for a minute. Really scared me when it happened, especially after all the horror stories about how weak the T-5's are. My first thought was "****...there goes my transmission"

Alright, so...is the process of changing it the same as an automatic? If so, I'll just search and there's plenty of explanations of how to do it. If there's any differences, someone please explain them

Get a POLY mount....the stock rubber POS will just break or split in the middle.....

Under the car, jack the tranny up. Remove the crossmember bolts (2) per side, remove the nut holding the tranny to the mount.

Drop the crossmember, remove the 2 bolts from the mount. Put on the poly one...if it came w/ a metal shim / plate......I didn't use it, but that's just me.
