Dropped a bolt into the tranny....

Today when I was replaceing my TV cable, I just happened to drop the bolt that holds the cable housing onto the transmission, into the hole where the TV Cable ENTERS the transmission.

Now, my question is, is it possible to remove the bolt by dropping the pan.... or is this more serious than that.

And yes, I've tried a magnet and what not, no little tricks seem to be working for me, gonna try one of those claws that are enclosed in a big spring looking thing 2morrow, but, if I can get it by dropping the pan, I might as well.

Thanks

Adam

Yes, you can remove the pan and get the bolt. If the bolt was clean, you could just leave it in.
