Upgrading Drivetrain,your Input?
Upgrading Drivetrain,your Input?
I have a 1991 Camaro 305 TBI, and I've been thinking of upgrading my Torque Convertor but I'm on a limited budget.I've heard that this helps a little at launch? Is it worth it? Do you guys have any reccomendations for which one to get? Thanks in advance, If it wasn't for this site I think I would have sunk a small fortune at shops, but know I feel preety confident about doing my own labor when working on the car.:hail:
i second that, if it werent for this site, my car would have either been blown up, pushed off a cliff, or id be in debt 3 grand in labor. so anyways, i wont be much help here other than saying that i purchased a corvette stall converter for my 92 , and it is being put on as we speak. yes, this is the single time i ever let anyone touch this car , but i seriously couldnt drop a tranny alone, in my driveway. no way no how, besides a reman one is going in with the converter and itll void warranty if i dont show proof of a professional install. worth the 200 bucks for the install for me. in any event, this is a 2300-2500 stall, for 90 bucks, as opposed to a 250 dollar 2500 stall , i dont understand the price diff, but i think 2300-2500 is great for the 90 bucks.....but ill tell ya how much diff it really makes by noon tomarrow when i pick it up.. so there, thats my 2 cents lol...what all mods have you done so far??
