Tranny Help

When I am in 1, 2, or D and driving down the road... whenever I let my foot off the gas pedal, the RPMs drop very rapidy to like 1000-1500 or so. Then whenever I press the gas pedal back down, the car will kinda rev/stall back up a couple 1000 RPM then be fine. It does NOT do this whenever the car is in OD. Anyone have any ideas? Could it be a vacuum leak or a bad (wrong size) TV Cable? I kept having problems with my TV Cable, so I went to a dealership and got one. It WAS different than the one on my car (so, perhaps the wrong one WAS on it). Also, whenever I am at an idle... if the gear selector is in 1, 2, or OD everything sounds normal... however, if the selector is in D, I hear a slight noise. Kinda sounds like something is rattling or vibrating?! Anyone have any ideas?

-Thanks

Sounds to me like it could be your torque convertor. Sounds like its not staying locked up, and when you let off the gas pedal its kind of like its in neutral. I would take it to a tranny shop and have it checked out.
