tranny leakage

well, i went to change my tranny fluid, even though i knew it leaked BAAAD!! i knew it was out so i changed it even though the poor 'ol T5 has still been shiftin great! well, i fill it up and when i get back under to put the fill plug back in (i had a leak where the shifter mounts, so i filled it from the top) i look and to my total SHOCK there is fluid all over the ground!!!!! i put in Lucas tranny fix and maxlife tranny juice. it looks as if the max life is all that leaked out (the thin ****) so i MAY still have some Lucas in her. the weirdest part was this, the leak appears to be coming from where the torque arm mount bolts to the tranny! how is this possible? is my casing cracked? if not, how do i fix this? this appears to be the leak that is draining my tranny. it will be built this summer, but i'd like to keep it drivin on until then...and suggestions?

thanks in advance!
Josh

p.s.- i have to have the car as a daily driver, so parkin it ain't a feasible option...

hey josh, im josh too.

uhm, sounds like your leak is maybe the electro speed gear seal. i don't much about the manual tranny's but i'm guessin it has a tailshaft too. i would pull the torque arm off, lower the tranny and pull off the tailshaft. the seals are really cheap at any parts store.

hope this helps. good luck.
