I'm doing a T-56 transmission swap on an 86 Camaro with a T-5.

I have the T-56 but need to know what other parts I will need to complete the project.

I know I need a new cross member and all the clutch parts but need more details and if possible the part numbers.

speedo box from dakota digital ($200)
hydrolics (spell) for the t56...

 

Most of the GM part#s can be found on the Sallee Chevrolet website if you dig around, all the way down to the bolts.

 

gonna need the adapter plate to mount it to the t-5 bellhousing, the vss, crossmember, torque arm, proper hydrolics, and a shortened driveshaft. spohn sells all the parts needed for the swap just click the link!

 

u dont need the adapter plate if he is using the t56 clutch and bellhousing and flywheel...

the way that 89RsPower! described is with the aftermarket t56 setup...which is more expensive than a complete used t56
