Car: 1992 Camaro RS
Engine: 305 TBI
Transmission: GM T56
T56 Shifter and Console
When I get my T56 in, will a Pro 5.0 or B&M Ripper Shifter work? If it hits my console will a 4th gen console fit my Camaro. I've seen Firebird/TA guys do this but does it fit a Camaro. Would I have to get one from a Camaro or 'Bird? Thanks

My tranny came from a 93-97 F-body and the shifter fits just like it would if it came from the factory.

I know that if it's a production T56 from a 93-02, the shifter fits just about perfectly.

yes it will..... if you're willing to cut your existing console.
the 4thgen console does not include the radio and AC/Heater controls like the 3rdgen camaro console does. you need to cut the console below the radio to clear it.
if you do a search on this, you will find lots of threads with pics.
also, while any MANUAL console will work, the prefered one is from a 97+ bird since it has 4 cupholders... 2 in the back, one in the center, and one on the pass. front side..
