I did what the tech article said, but when I push the center piece all the way in and then open the throttle to WOT the thing doesn't do the clicking.

If my cable is bad, is it hard to change?

 

push button in, push the plastic **** thing into the housing as far as it goes, let go of the button and then wot. i did that and didnt hear and click and got mad so i did it again and went as a crap wot and finally it went click click (loud), to bad i didnt like how that was and i just was pressing the button in and moving around the plastic **** around and i have been hearing any clicking but i got the sihft points lower just alittle bit.

right under 5k rpm first to second, then right about 5k second to drive, this is from a stop in drive, wot.
