??? Its an 87' 700r4. I'm really hoping the trans shop that told me they were rebuilding the original trans and converter didn't just replace them with reman units. B/c I wasn't expecting this bright color staring me in the face when i pulled the inspection cover.

GM does not paint their torque converters.

 

Oh crap, my supposedly rebuilt stock one is bright blue. Is it common for them to be repainted as part of a rebuild?

 

i ordered a rebuilt 2400-2600....it's blue.
