Speedometer Calibration w/5 speed

I know this topic has been beaten to the death and the calibration methods I read apply to the cars with a 700r4. Would the same thing apply to a 5 speed as far as changing the VSS gears and tail shaft gear? Has anyone done this with a 5 speed yet?

part number is the same, so i would assume that the 700r4 instructions would apply to the manual as well....

I replaced my 110 mph speedo for the 140 mph one from a Z28, if I change those gears out in the tranny will i have to do anything else to the speedometer?

ttt

I'm getting conflicting info on whether or not the part #'s are the same for the 5 speed and 700r4 speedo gears. Anybody else have input on this?

The gears are the same but you must disassemble the back-half of the 5-speed to get to it!! NO FUN!!
