I have ben ready searches for the last hour trying to figure this out. I have a 82 Z28 with the open rear end w/ 3.73 gears. Can get a posi w/2.73 and it will be disk also. Will the 3.73 work in this rear end. This may cause me to start smokin again. Thanks.

 

if both rears are original gm parts the answer is no because of differant series carries. since the likely hood of someone making a swap in the 20 years the car/rear has been around it's hard to say.
