Okay i was driving around town and the firebird was shifting fine then i try to put a tranny fluid cooler so i cut the line thats on the top.Of the radiator and put a hose and a clamp on it and then the end to the tranny cooler and then i put the exiting part of the cooler back to the radiator and then it goes back to the tranny.So i get in the car and go slow then try to spped up but the car wont shift to second it foes all the way up to 3200 rpm befoe i floor it then it shifts up in to the other gears.So i say im going to take the cooler off so i route everything back the way it was so i go and test it and it still does the same thing.


So i check the fluid level and i add it to be perfect fluid level and it still does it.Please i really need to know what wrong with my tranny its a 700R4 the car has 116 thousand miles.

 

Sounds like you disturbed something else in the process that you didn't notice.... probably the TV cable (no I'm not talking about Time-Warner)

 

um the car goes in reverse normal and and would haveing the cooler mounted in anyway cause a problem.

 

The cooler has nothing to do with the issue at hand, nor does reverse.

how do i adjust the tv cable on the 305 tbi



also if its not that then what could it be?

 

Now the car jumps when i put it in to drive feels like it gets all 4 tires off the ground.
