B&M Megashifter

ok guys, i just got my megashifter in the mail and i take a look at the new shifter plate, and there are only markerings for "Park, N, D, 2, and 1...

yo!! i thought this thing is compatible with the 700R4, which we all known has 1,2,3, and of coarse "4" gears...

i'm really kind of pissed about this...am i overlooking something or what??? any info is greatly appreciated

Did you get the one made for the 700r4 in the camaro and firebirds? You can adjust the cable to only move in 3 gears BUT youd loose either 1st or OD. Neither would I want to loose.

Let me know because I was gonna oder one also.

The one for our cars 'third-gens' comes with(or should come with) 2 sets of indicaters. It also has a bolt that has to be removed to switch the shifter from a 3 speed to 4 speed. It's all in the instructions. Basically it is a 4 speed auto shifter that has a bolt that locks out the bottom gear to make it into a 3 speed shifter. SLOWTBI, Calm down and look through all the stuff included.

well i read and reread and reread the instructions now and i find that there is a bolt you have to remove to turn it into a four-speed, but the actual indicator doesn't have four forward gear settings...

i'm gonna reread the instructions a thousand and one more times...

do you have to take your stock indicator plate and swap it into the B&M shifter plate...

hmm..the more i think about it, the more this seems to make sense, i guess

No you don't use your stock indicator. You should have another indicator in one of the plastic bags in the box. Look through all the stuff included in the box.
