this is a daily driver so as you can tell im very disturbed at this happening at all the wrong times. I was pulling into my garage to stop and put the car in park from 1st gear (700r4) i go to put it in OD so i can put it in park and the minute i try to slide the lever up i hear this cracking noise and it wont shift out of gear at all even if i try to force it. i took the shifter plate off and there is a plastic peice broke and a rubber bushing out of place and i cannot get it out of first, cant even start the car of take the key out!!! im gettin pissed off and need help the shifter lever will slide freely up and down but wont disengage....

i guess theres this little plastic piece that holds the cable straight/stiff, so you can shift gears with the shifter and if has broken im hoping thats all the problem is, any input would be helpful!
