4th gear wire pls help 911

4th gear wire pls help 911

hello ya ll im having one hell of a time trying to find that 4th gear wire to hook up to my accell dfi gen 7. i have to have this car running and out of this guys shop by friday. if someone can help me now or in the morning i can get it running tommorrow. i was suppose to hook up the torque converter clutch wire that is tan with a black stripe i found that. but according to the wiring diagram the 4th gear wire is light blue. where is that at ? where does it go? which side of the tranny? any help would be greatly appreciated.:hail: :hail: :hail:

Its in the same connector as the TCC wire. Most 700's have three wires coming from the transmission through that connector. There is a TCC battery voltage, TCC ground, and a 4th gear signal.

so the 4th gear wire is on the same plug as the tcc wire is on..... on the tranny? ok the tcc wire is tan with black stripe ad it was one of that 3 wires coming out of the plug i forget what color it is on the other 2 but it isnt light blue like the wiring diagram calls for? .

Wire colors can change with age, but it is supposed to be blue. Just for reference, if you look at the plug, there are letters at each cavity. The PURPLE wire, which is 12 Volts for the solenoid, is in cavity "A". The BLUE wire, which is the one you are looking for, is in cavity "B". Cavity "C" should be empty, and Cavity "D" is the Tan/BLK wire, which you already found.

ohh man what a relief i sure hope thats it. but i could have swore that other wire wasnt blue i looked at the entire length of the wire and it was all green not blusuppose to be light blue?

oh man i sure hope thats it. i looked at the entire lenght of that one wire its all green and it isnt blue like what the wiring diagram calls for. if that green wire is what it is then u have made me a happy customer thanks very much
