Torque Arm Busting replacement
Idaho seems to be notorious for having $hit-ay parts suppliers. No one in town seems to have a "torque arm bushing" for my IROC-Z.
I have an AutoZone, Checker, CarQuest and Napa here in town. Does ANYONE have a P/N I can give to any one of these people so I can replace my damn torque arm bushing?

I'm going to assume that you are talking about the bushing on the very front of the TQ arm. I don't think there is another. This bushing is rivited to the steel clamsheel around it. You cannot get this at parts stores, from my experience. You either have to go to the dealer and get the whole clamshell replaced or order an aftermarket one. I'd suggest a Poly one from Thunderracing.com I think it's only about $15, which is much cheaper than replacing it from the dealer. Just make sure you get the right one.

The stock one is 2 peices but the polyurethane aftermarket bushings are 1-piece. They also don't rivet to the bracket like the stock rubber one.

Are we 100% sure about that?
I checked the above mentioned website and it said $15 for the bushing... nothing else was mentioned.

You may be right about the one piece aftermarket bushing, but how do you get the rest of the old one off of the bracket?
I just went to a GM dealer and bought the factory parts.

The poly bushings come with instructions....they run along the lines of:
Remove the bracket from the car. Use a die grinder and cutoff wheel to trim the sides of the bracket straight (eliminating the flanges with the rivet holes.) Lube the bushing and slip it onto the torque arm. Bolt the inner half of the bracket to the trans. Line up the bushing and clamp the outer part of the bracket over it (it has a ridge made into each side to keep it from sliding out of the bracket.) Tighten the outer half of the bracket.
