unknown transmisison component

unknown transmisison component

okay, so we're getting ready to fire up the engine and test the transmission when im reminded that theres this one lever type thing in a hole in the transmission above the pan, and theres nothing hooked up to it. I assume its the TV cable link, but im not sure. and any confirm or deny what this is?
Edit: it goes to a 2.8L v6 engine, 700-r4

Yes, that would be where your throttle valve cable goes! Don't do anything until you install that and adjust it properly..

is there a special way to adjust that?
