WCT-5 Clutch Question

I replaced my clutch less than a year ago with a cheap brand special from Autozone. It never held very well and it's already worn out. I've been looking at the Centerforce Dual Friction clutch and it seems that the DF161056 is the replacement that centerforce calls for. Here's my question: The Centerforce catalog also lists a DF161911 which has a slightly bigger o.d. of 10 3/4". Can I use the DF161911 for my application? TIA for your help.

No.

The 161056 will work fine.

Okay, thanks for the responses. The reason I had asked was someone has the 911 clutch for sale on eBay for $200. Could've saved a few bucks. I'll go ahead and grab the 056 for $250.

Haha, I did that too at first. After the second one in a year I said screw it and go a Dual Friction. Best decision I ever made. 20K miles later and lots of racing and still grabs perfectly everytime.

The 10.75" is a `vette application clutch and yes it can be used. It works on the stock 153 tooth flywheels in third gens. I know someone running one on an 86-92 f-body flywheel and he's using mechanical linkage in a g-body.

RB,

86Z,

Research before you post. Thanks.

Thanks for the response, Matthew. Unfortunately, the auction closed yesterday, otherwise I would have simply called Centerforce. I knew that it was a vette application from the chart on their website. Further, I read I don't know how many threads in search of an answer... Sorry I didn't find a definitive answer before asking here.

I can appreciate the sentiments concerning research, but sometimes people are a bit quick on the draw with the "Research before you post" comments IMO.

Anyways, thanks again for the response.
