Here is an easy question for all you trans gurus.

How are automatic transmission shifts controlled?

I have been having trouble with my trans shifting. I have consulted some people and they all suggest adjusting the TV cable and checking vacuum. I have adjusted the TV cable, both by the books method and by the popular method on these posts, but still doesnt work. Where is this vacuum line located?
