Car shakes below 1500 RPM
I have a 92 automatic transmission TA. The problem I am having is when I drive my car in overdrive or drive gear below 1500 RPM, my car shakes, but the moment I go beyond 1500, it stops, sometimes I have to change my gear and go to the 2 gear to achieve higher RPM in low speed so that my car dosent shake. Anybody know why this happens, my roommate who has a 1988 camaro has a similar problem and he thinks its the torque convertor lockup thats messed up or somethin, can anyone help??

trans92,
Nice car. It sounds like your convertor could be not unlocking correctly or you have bad plug wires. Sometime is tough to tell. One quick way to tell if its the convertor is unhook the 4pin connector on the transmission, that will prevent it from locking up. Go drive it if it still does it your problem is elsewhere.
