What type of convetor are you goind with? Yank, Vigilantie, ACT, B&M, TCI? From what I know about convertor selections, which I am no expert by far but with those .050 stats i'd say somewhere between 2400-2600. The reason I say that is I had a 230/236 cam in my 350 and dana at probuilt recomended a 2600, I have a 236/242 now in my 406 and went with a 2800. The best way to do it call the tourqe convetor manufacturer and tell them your setup. Be warned that TCI and B&M convertors are ok convertors but nothing like Yank, Vigilantie or ACT. But these are alot more expensive than TCI or B&M. It's all depending on what you want to spend.
With a stall speed 2400-2600 try and stay away from restalled 11-12 inch convertors. Big convertors that have that high of stall speed are inefficent and generate alot of heat. A smaller convertor 9.5 or 10inch are more effiecnt and easier on the transmission. There are alot of smart tranny guys on this board including Dana at ProBuilt, after dealing with him I will never go anywhere else for transmission/ convertors. He's just that good.
Does your transmssion still have lockup? If so you'd never notice a 2400 stall.
