I have an overdrive in a truck that is supposed to use late model chevy synthetic gear oil for a manual tranny. It's over $20.00 at the dealer. Part no. 12346190.
What would be the equivilent at say NAPA?
Thanks

Dunno, Ive persoanlly never seen any chain store parts houses supply an equivilant to Syncromesh. Everytime I ask its call the dealer we dont carry that fluid. Works quite well in a T5.

When I first bought my car, the T-5 had a small leak, so back to the dealer we went. I went back to talk to the mechanic doing the rebuild, and he told me to run 80-90W lube in it. (They come with ATF) I put 150,000 miles on that trans, and before I put the new motor in, took it in for a look-see (cause I was having no problems). The only thing he said it needed was a syncro kit. Everything else looked new. He couldn't believe the trans had 150,000 on it!
