I put my transgo kit in yesterday and I don't have reverse, did you ever figure out what was wrong?

No reverse is caused by the pressure regulator valve being installed or assembled incrorectly. Sorry guys the pan has to come off one more time. Glad when I had the 7R4 I opted for the drain plug.

The valve most likely isnt clipped in the correct upper grove, this is the one in the tranny case on oposite side of the dipstick tube. Anyway always a good idea to pull the whole thing down and recheck anyway, I persoanlly put it togather wrong and had reverse untill the pressure poped the clip out 3 days later.

I know for a fact that I put the snap ring in the first groove.

I will pull the pan tonight and fix it. I want to drive it now. I started it for the first time last night and that cam sounds awesome.

Thanks for the help, hopefully this is the only problem I will have.

also while you are there, check that valve, mine had a slight burr on it and would not slide freely, that was my whole problem

haha, that's funny, mine had the same problem a few days ago too when being put in.

guy at trans-go said the same thing, if you aren't in the upper groove it won't reverse or shift right all due to that valve.

he was right on the nose, worked.

i'm not used to the jerking when the car up/downshifts, but it's fun in the open road!
