I installed the transgo performance hit in my car and im not really happy with the results. The car shifts hard through all the gears, then itll get to about 3,000rpm and shift into overdrive at WOT, where it used to redline. Then while im crusing at 1,500 in overdrive and then punch it at wot itll downshift into 3rd but not into second like it used to. And when im doing about 1500rpm in third and punch it, ill hear a clunk as it downshifts and it just launches the car with so much force. Is the way that i described the shifting the correct way the shift kit is suppose to operate? Or did i do something wrong with the instal. Is that clunk into 2nd hurting my transmission? Will this shift hit decrease the life expectancy of my tranny? the trans is a 86 700r4 in a 305 iroc with a 3.23 rearend. Any help would be appreciated. Also, Glen at transgo told me not to install the 3-4 spring in the valve body becuz i had 3.23 gears. would that make a differance?
