my 700r4 is junk, would swapping a t5 from hawks worth 750 be better? i like driving the stick which i have in my truck so figured it may be fun in the z also.

i personnaly like standard trannys for street cars. if u prefer a standard go for it. there is an upgrade kit out now for the T5 to make it hella strong plus theyre extremely easy to maintain and swap in.

 

I did the swap this spring and it is the single best modification I have done. I don't know how much it improved performance because I also went from 993 smog heads to Pro Lightnings and from an RV cam to a Comp XE274 all at the same time. Sure makes the car more fun to drive plus I think it really changed how the car handles now. Doesn't always feel like the front end is plowing.

 

see and then if you put in a bigger cam you won't have to worry about a stupid torque convertor. Thats what I like about it.

 

I hope its worth it im doing it next week.

 

If you do it? Use a centerforce clutch. I may onley have a lo3 but there great.
