its a nightmare to perform on our cars. IMHO, its def. not worth it. youll need the whole abs setup, computer controll it somehow, ull seen sensors for it...and a whole lot more. if ur tires slip...let off the brake...

My dads mustang GT has ABS. I hate it. I don't feel in control at all. It will pop the petal back out on you when it wouldn't be sliding anyways. His 95 mustang GT has way worse brakes than my 88 camaro with drums out back. I hate the brakes on his car they are terrible.

Brakes on my moms 02 accord kick *** tho.

If you do a search, there was a huge thread on this not to long ago. I think the general consensus was that you could do it with the early 90's Typhoon/Cyclone setup, but would be a huge pain and not worth the time.

im the one that was going to attempt it...

the only hard part is figuring out how to get a sensor for the front wheels..

the back ones already have sensors because of a 4thgen rear.

noone has completed it yet... im going to, but im still saving up money for more parts.... i spent most of my money moving across the country from dallas to charleston... i'll let you know my progress as i get some.

and to the naysayers

"its not worth it"--- hey, if people here spend the time to make custom releases for their gas doors and other small things, ever think that we just like doing stuff to our cars and enjoy working on them? its a challenge... besides... if i dont like the ABS, whats to stop me from putting in a off switch

"im not in control" --- yup... and when you can pump a pedal faster then the computer, then you'll stop faster too... till then im going to use my ABS on the street, where its like 4 independant brake pedals.... you just continue pumping all of them....... i just hope you arnt behind me.

"it messes up on gravel/loose dirt/snow" --- its not perfect... just better then you on pavement 90% of the time..... i still have the off switch if i ever decide to go drive my car in the gravel/dirt/snow........
