will my mechanical speedo drive from the 200c bolt into the place where the electronic speedo drive is on a t700 r2 ,,
my car is a 1982 cable speedo
my new gearbox will be a lock up,model t700r4 from 1988
with electronic speedo

 

You will need a non electronic speedometer housing (sleve) and the correct gearset for your differetial ratio and tire diameter. This is the time to make sure everything is correct. www.700r4.com/ has the calculator so you can double check. The crossmember will not directly bolt a 700r4 up either, Spohn makes one that will bolt right up. The tq arm has to be either replaced or shortened a few inches to work. Ive been down this road, it's a swap well worth the effort even more worth it if you were replacing it with a T5 but.....

 

will the t200c speedo setup fit into the t700 electronic housing,,

 

how do i tell what model t700 i bought,, aparently the 83 to 85 models are junk,,,,the1987,s up to the electronic models are better,, and stronger
