First thing TC comes off of when pulled forward to much?

Tighting the TC to the flywheel it felt like it came forward enough that I thought it dropped off of one of the spindles. However it still drives normally with all forwards and reverse working. So I assume I was mistaken when I thought it slipped off of something? What would be the first thing it would slip off of? Since it drives was it all in my head?

When you attach the torque converter to the flywheel it pulls out of the transmisson a little bit, so what you felt is normal.
